Colab – What does it mean?
It’s in the name. A collaborative hub, a like-minded community to enable people with great ideas to turn them into viable businesses. You’ve got the inspiration. CoLab is a stimulating and supportive environment to help you succeed.
Whether you’re a one person start-up or a small company, CoLab has a range of outstanding facilities to help you develop your idea. This includes high-spec office and research units, shared reception services, meeting and training rooms, the latest telecommunications technology, and a communal networking area.
Based on the Letterkenny IT campus, CoLab is home to pioneering research in many areas. We have strong connections in Ireland and Europe through business and innovator networks, as well as links to other academic institutes. The team at CoLab is involved in numerous initiatives and programmes for technology entrepreneurs ensuring the latest trends and thinking across many industry sectors are at your disposal. Home to 28 other entrepreneurs, networking is a natural occurrence. It’s not all work though, the centre hosts various cultural occasions from time to time too.
Already 100 entrepreneurs have started their journey with us, many returning from overseas, who have now gone on to create successful businesses. Indeed they represent another valuable resource for you to tap into.
We see CoLab as a dynamic point of convergence where quality-of-life meets cutting-edge technology, where Ireland’s Northwest meets the global marketplace. We see it as the place for you to turn your ideas into your future, knowledge into enterprise.
CoLab, the Innovation Centre at Letterkenny IT, has recently outlined substantial funding for 3 innovative projects designed to support the future success of the North West Regional Economy.
